Hi Jose, beautiful shot of this cormorant on the dead tree. The reflections of the bird and tree are obvious and very nice, but the reflections from the shore in those ripples adds to this shot as well with great colour and texture.

By looking only at the miniature, I did not see what it was! Amazing this bird colors are beautiful, damage that the wind comes to disturb the top of the water but we no controle not always elements!

Hi Jose, Nature captured at it's best, the beautiful colours of yellows & greens & the stunning reflective light, along with our main subject the bird perched proudly on the branch, it's reflection is excellent & the overall composition first class, great shot & TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Muito bonita esta tua foto. O que gosto mais é da profundidade criada pelas minúsculas ondinhas na água, as quais são cada vez mais finas à medida que o nosso olhar se desloca de baixo para cima na imagem. Muito bem.

As cores da água estão diferentes e magníficas. O cormorão solitário com essa paciência retratada em sua foto, ´transmite uma atmosfera poeética. Parabéns.

Olá Zeca,

magnífica composição. Um grafismo muito bonito foi o resultado do reflexo da vegetação sobre as águas. Realmente parece uma pintura. A inclusão do galho e sua habitante ave quebrou belamente esse pano de fundo. Bem posicionados, tornando a imagem equilibrada. Belíssima captura, amigo!

Olá Zeca,
Uma bela captura dessa ave esguia e dessa atmosfera pacificante. O equilíbrio da composição está perfeito, e a iluminação foi muito bem aproveitada. O horário me parece ideal, porque mesmo as regiões brancas iluminadas pelo sol estão dentro do espectro dinâmico do sensor, ou seja, não estão superexpostas, os tons médios dominam e as sombras delineiam formas bem definidas. Parece que aqui não havia como melhorar muito. Vejo que vc estava no limite do seu equipamento: 5.6 (a abertura máxima para o zoom), 1/320 (devia estar segurando com a mão), 300mm, ISO 400. Nessas horas, bem que um equipamento profissional ajudaria, não?, digo uma 400mm f/2.8, quem sabe?
Vejo também que vc não seguiu sua própria regra de recortar o quadro em 200mm no pp, mas decidiu usar todo o zoom da lente. Usar o zoom total da lente, mesmo que meio soft, é ainda a melhor política, na minha opinião, para recuperar todos os detalhes (possíveis) no pós-processamento. Esses 100mm (ou 160, com o crop do sensor) ainda fornecem mais detalhes, apesar da queda de contraste. Uns testes de laboratório iriam bem...

I like the simplicity of this shot, with the lone bird, sitting up on a log above the water. The reflections off the water are really good, and that is what gives the photo a wonderful glow. Excellent work!

Those cormorants are realy everywhere, from the canals of Amsterdam to the nature of Brazil.
Good shot in fine colours with gret reflection.

Olá Zeca!
Uma bela imagem você conseguiu aqui, e de pensar que foi em 480mm! Acho bem difícil fotografar com zoom tão grande, minha lente vai até 420mm, mas nem sempre o foco fica bom, e num caso como esse em que o contraste está fraco fica mais difícil ainda.
Um belo trabalho esse.

lindas cores com uma composição bem elaborada. Tema principal descentralizado e iluminação correta.
Gostei dos reflexos d'água. Muito, muito bonitos. Para o registro em 300 mm e uma velocidade de 1/320 ficou muito bem nítida.

Very interesting and beautiful picture. The shallow background work as a pallete of colors for the solitary bird and his bush. The perfect reflection on the water balances very well the composition.

Bem bonita esta! A ave ficou fantástica, muito bem posicionada e o reflexo da ave no galho ficou excelente. Os reflexos da vegetação na água também ficaram óptimos. A luz está perfeita!

Zeca,
ta ficando mais ativo e estou com aquela preguica de escrever e publicar. Nao e que esta imagem me lembra bastante da minha feita em Crater Lake com a ilha Phantom Ship. Mesmo que a nitidez nao esta 100% eu adorei este passaro sentado no tronco e com os reflexos coloridos na agua.
Tenha um pouco de paciencia e ainda vou dar uma criticazinha para as suas outras figurinhas.

very good capture of just the stem and bird, but reflection gives this shot its power of calm, as well as reflected view of BG blur colors, providing a good contrast tone, you did nicely here. tfs

Nada como o POV perfeito - além do olho fotográfico, hehehe. Lindísima tomada, Zeca, perfeitamente composta. O plano de fundo inteiramente tomado pelo lago, como uma aquarela, está uma maravilha. Bravo!

The BG looks like an airbrush painting..even the reflection of the branch, so slightly distorted, looks great. The subject stands out. Well seen and excellently captured.
