Series on my short trip to PORTO ALEGRE (JOYFUL HARBOR), the CAPITAL CITY of the STATE of RIO GRANDE DO SUL (SOUTHERN BIG RIVER), the most Austral State in Brazil - from January, 16th to 18th, 2015 - #018 !

MONUMENT TO THE EXPEDITIONARIES - DOUBLE ARCH LOCATED IN THE REDEMPTION PARK (FARROUPILHA PARK)!

In a rainy saturday morning, that park wasn't too crowded, but still there were some people walking and jogging, walking their dogs etc. I enjoyed seeing and photographing the landmark of that place in Porto Alegre!

Bonjour, cher Neyvan,
Cette sorte d'Arc de Triomphe est étonnante à tous points de vue. Les sculptures en bas-reliefs sur les parties latérales viennent compléter harmonieusement la sculpture sur piédestal.
Un grand merci pour les liens et la présentation générale.

Avec la statue quelle vue et iamge quel arche sueprbe très moderne comme construction et les personnage et cet édiffice tout à gauche qui ressort sueprbe.

Hello Ney,
A pleasing well balanced composition with agreeable soft lights and colours. The people milling around enliven the scene and provide scale for the monumental gateway.

a simple and yet imposing archway and such a shame that it has become the focus of the graffiti cult. I would have probably cloned out the graffiti but then that would not be a realistic image of this part of town. The building in the bg looks amazing too!

You placed the two arches nice to the right side, on the how see we the tower to the left.
An excellent perspective and depth picture, very well architecture picture too.
Colours and sharpness are perfect.

Une adroite composition. L'angle choisit offre une belle perspective sur la double porte ainsi que sur le dôme doré en arrière plan. L'animation sur la place est colorée.

I like the mirroring of the 2 bg arches at left with the 2 fg arches at right. Good repetition and sharpness and a superb warm vs cold colour contrast between the blue sky and the yellow half circles of the clocktower at left with the flag atop it. The people add scale and a dimension size. Tfs.

este é outro local que não pude visitar devido à chuva daqueles dois dias em que estive em POA.
linda vista apanhando aquela curiosa escultura e o prédio de linhas estranhas e bacanas ao longe.
