Photographer's Note
For those who have seen my previous photo, there is also something funny to say about Itu. As popular stories say that people there were exaggerating, and things are too much big, the city takes it as a joke.
The size of this public telephone is not a perspective matter, it is really enourmous (I would say the top is 5 or 6 meters high). Of course it's only a toy, standing in the middle of the square (the same square seen in my previous photo). There's also a giant traffic light, and shops there sell "little" souvenirs, like matches, pencils, rubbers of unusual size.
This public telephone has the same shape of the ones you can find all over Brazil. It's known here as "orelhão" (a difficult word to pronounce for non-portuguese speakers, that means "big ear", due to this shape). We never use the expression "public telephone"; if you want one when staying here, ask for an "orelhão"...:-)

That's a great story. I'm glad I opened the thumbnail, because without reading your note, I couldn't figure out what would be interesting about this phone booth. I like having the people and the building behind, and the lamppost next to it for size perspective. I'd like to see more of the phone, because it's the focus of the shot, but unfortunately, under the shade it's a little dark. I did a workshop to try to fix that. See what you think.
