Photographer's Note

Brasilia main thoroughfare is called "Eixão". It is the north-south axial urban expressway that cross the city from North to South. It has 10 miles in length. There are no traffic lights in the Eixão. So, to cross it, pedestrians have to use underground passageways. These underpasses usually are filthy and dark. Lack of safety is also a important concern for pedestrians. It is unsafe for kids and the elderly.
I use underpasses daily but never at night.
Graffitis cover extensively the underpasses walls as manifestos of social scars.
