Cartagena - View from the city walls

Hereby a blue hour picture of the historic center of Cartagena taken on the surrounding defensive wall.
Considering the image is not really sharp, I hesitated to show it. Taken without a tripod and without a possibility to place my camera on something stable, this is the best of numerous attempts.

Some people commented on my last picture that it was probably hot in Cartagena.
Usually the day temperature was around 33° C which isn’t really that high compared with temperatures in the desert but the great humidity (from 80 to 90%) made it feel very hot, both day and night.

Fortunately there was an occasional light breeze from the Caribbean Sea. So the most pleasant places in town were on top of the defensive wall, on the sea side anyway.

One of the best places in Cartagena to chill out was the terrace of a cafe on top of that wall. It was a popular place, especially at night, with good music and where you could enjoy the sea breeze.
A pity the prices were a bit steep there and the management wasn’t quite generous with the alcohol in the cocktails. :(
