Friends of the Shadow, a photo from Lima, South

Photographer's Note

I shot this picture while in a beach some 40km south of Lima at sunset.
There is an intrusive horizontal line across all the photo which is clearly visible at 2x. I have not been able to remove it using Photoshop, so if somebody can do a WS and tell me how, I'll be very glad. (this defect came with the film)

Yes I see the line. It is easily fixed with the clone tool.
I like the composition here -- the people silhouetted against the white waves, and the off-center sunset. Also how the figures all learn towards the middle with the one in the middle straight and spaced slightly apart. Very nice.

I like the peace which gets free it your photo. The persons seem captivated by this sunset. Colours are beautiful.
I answered your demand to remove the scratch on the film and I took advantage of it for certain retouch. I hope that you will there be happy.

There is something very familier in this shot. The posture of these people, the close proximity. We've all been to a nice time on the beace, and this picture tells this story simply and profoundly. Very nice.

Excellent silhouettes! Likewise, as amitai says, there's something very familiar and very calming about this picture. It's because the composition is very pleasant and the colors are soothing to the eye.
