Adult Tree Frog, a photo from Apure, West

Photographer's Note

This small tree frog is one of the first critters to announce the coming of the rain. It starts calling and moving about with the first showers. Using a thumb to indicate size enabled me to document in a funny way, its miniscule adult size.

Unbelievable! The finger for scale works well.
I might have cropped off just a little of the bottom, but this is a very minor issue. The sharpness of this little guy is wonderful, and the background thrown so far out of focus that it makes a great green backdrop.

Great shot of one of nature's tiny creatures. The finger acts as a good measure of scale, although I'd chose the other side, since a human fingernail/cuticle isn't too pretty so close up. Your colors, DOF and the sharpness of your subject are all great. Expert macro work. The highlights on the frog's head are a little bit blown out (perhaps fixed by holding diffusion material over head?), but otherwise great shot.

Cute, very cute, but yes the finger could be cropped more, excellent specimen and it looks as though the frog is curious. well done

Hola Leo, esto es exquisita y naturalmente hermoso. Tierno, encantador, me gusta la forma en que se sostiene de la uña y el efecto de la luz definiendo un triángulo en su nariz.
