Photographer's Note
We happened to be in Cordoba on May Day and better still wandered up to the magnificent and grand 17th century square Plaza de la Corredera where we discovered, in a very non-touristy part of town, the local May Day action. It is the site of the old Roman amphitheatre (and gladiators?).
Students (in the photo) were doing their best to demonstrate with music and dancing. The slightly out of focus one on the right was, I think, the leader. Speeches followed. All around were good traditional cafes from which to enjoy the action and while away the afternoon.

Hello Ian,
The arcades are a beautiful decoration to describe this demonstration enough extrordinaire. the getups are astonishing. Beautiful scene of daily life, and interesting document. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Hi Ian, what a colourful band of people you've captured. I like all of the shot although blurred and cropped lady at the right FG I suppose could not be helped. Where do you "draw the line" in crowd shots, always a difficult choice when you've got to react quickly. Anyways, I like the life and dynamism of the photo and of course what it represents. TFS and I hope you're having a good week, Lisa

Hello Ian
Great action photo and so colourful. Perhaps a pity that all the feet are chopped off but I am guessing you had little to prepare for the camera click. Tfs, Marlene
