Photographer's Note
It Hardly snows in Cornwall.. it did last year for the first time in years .. When it dioes it is beautiful. This is a wonderful old listed farm house that is being restored by its owners. In England listed buildings have to be restored to what the building originbally looked like when it was listed, this often means having to both source rare buildingf materials and even scarces skilled labour who know how to build in those ancient buiding techniques.. Enjoy

Hello Richard, This is a very elegant looking home. You have captured a lovely landscape with the snow contrasting with the rock and stone construction of the house. Very well done. In fact the stone and rock exterior is most unique. Regards Roger

Hi Richard
Nice rural village houses in winter conditions, the palm type tree looks a bit weird here... I wonder if the foreground field is large enough to play cricket ;-)
have a nice day JY

Hello Richard, Lovely rural winter scene, enhanced by the the very effective cold blue tinge & the little bit of bright red on the stones & chimney. Interesting note, I imagine that type of expert labour would be expensive & hard to find. Well done

Hello Richard,
A very attractive composition of this delightful looking farmhouse. I like the slightly diagonal point of view the tonal contrasts between the warm looking stones and the cool tones of snow and sky. The textures and hues of the stonework are beautifully brought out. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rich, this is such a good reportage shot, the unusual occurrence of snow being a fascinating fact, the meaning of which we can draw our own conclusuions from. I love the thatched and slate roofs. The blanket of snow is beautiful and creates an impressive texture to everything it covers. Great job, TFS and I wish you a very happy day, Lisa

Hi Richard
First I saw your photograph, then I checked it in my photoshop and finally I read the other comments. The latter I normally do not, but this time I felt I would like to know what others said. The reason? I'm going to say different things:
What is strange is the very blueish taint of the whole picture. I checked in photoshop there may be a slight blueish tint, but not much. I really would like to know, why the whole picture has such an obvious blueish tint. Sharpness is perfect, my objection is the blueness, but I have no explanation why it is there. Otherwise your picture is fine. Thanks also for your critique of my mosque shot from Alor Star
Best regards
Urs

Hello Richard,
Bluish environment expresses the coldness. Snow on the ground and on the roofs, like on the wall, brings back in December to me to Christmas. The colors discretes of the chimneys, and the walls are expressed fully in this attenuated light. Framing is very skilful. Cheer.
Have a nice day

Bonjour Ricx,
Une chaumière sous la neige, c'est le rêve de beaucoup. J'aime cette photo qui met en valeur cette architecture si bien restaurée. La neige donne un air de Noël qui me plaît beaucoup.
Amicalement
