Photographer's Note
Erected between 1948 and 1955, Okraglak is considered to be an outstanding architectural accomplishment of Polish modernism, a building that can be compared to the world’s best. The architect behind the design was the well known Professor Marek Leykam.
The building was planned to be 10 storeys high but in the end only 8 storeys were constructed. Erected in the heart of the city, Okr±glak became a popular department store for many decades. Here customers could find products not found elsewhere.
In the meantime, the building itself became an icon of Poznañ.
Today it is one of the most recognizable sites and places in the centre of the city

it would be great to have a wider view aswell, perhaps you have one in your gallery...i'll have to take a look.
its unique in that the windows have a different shade of blue, and i like the rounded form.
