Photographer's Note
They said it couldn't be built, but here it stands today. The famous Brooklyn Bridge. It spans the East river between Brooklyn and Manhattan and stretches for a length of 5989 ft, about 1.8 km.
Made it to the top with my cycling comrades! OOOGAAA! *Battle cry* Cycling to getting around in NYC is not for the faint hearted... But I have to tell you, the network of bike paths covering the city sure is impressive! And all those wee little lasses screaming for a high five on our way down the bridge was just irresistible. I have to stretch my hand out while zipping down no matter what!
