Photographer's Note
The Registan Square is the heart of Samarkand. The word "Registan" means "sandy place".
The Registan ensemble consist of the Ulugbeck madrasah (1417-1420), the Tillya-Kari madrasah (1646-1660) and the Sher-Dor madrasah (1619-1636) - from left to right on the photo.
Madrasah was a Muslim educational institution where clergymen, statesmen and scientists were trained.

Hello Andriy,
I remember how this square looks at the Soviet times. As your panorama shows Registan is now in applepie order. The wide view and high photographic quality allow considering the panorama as virtual visiting of this interesting place. Very good job!
Best regards,
Sergiy
