For history
The station of Liège-Guillemins is the main station in the city of Liege in Belgium.

Located at the foot of the hill of Cointe, precisely the location of the former convent of Guillemites with reference to the religious order of Saint-Guillaume. The area is usually the name, then the Neighborhood Guillemins. The name of the station of Liège-Guillemins is now the only trace of that past.

The train station of Liège-Guillemins is a major hub of the Belgian railway network. It is the second station of the Walloon Region in number of passengers, which hosts about 36,000 passengers each day. It is also international train station, welcoming the German ICE and the Thalys.

It is a major intermodal hub of the city Principality which connects high-speed train, train IC bus on the highway, taxi, airport shuttle and tram line soon.

A new station, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava Valls, was inaugurated September 18, 2009 after a decade of work.
