Loggos, Paxi, a photo from Kerkyra, Ionian Islands

Photographer's Note

The context for this photograph is my previous posting. That showed the yacht we were delivering to Italy, at anchor in Loggos bay, on the Ionian island of Paxi. This is the view from the boat looking in the opposite direction to the beautiful little village of Loggos. We had just dropped anchor for a leisurely lunch, after which we had a swim and then rowed ashore for a beer or three. Sitting in one of the tavernas was the British actor James Bolam. We didn't ask for his autograph.

This was taken in late September. Having recently retired from teaching, trips like this, when my ex-colleagues are slaving away, really make me feel smug!

A very nice panoramic view about these area.
We see clear the vegetation in foreground in water.
Also a good image with the houses before the forrest in background.
Pleasant image for look at.

Hi Will, I like this pretty well caught sight of this interesting and beautiful place, with beautiful clear water bay of turquoise color in the foreground. How I enviy you for having time for trips like this after retiring.
Iconic greek landscape with a gorgeos sea. Sights like this I remember well from my many trips to the Pelepones, where my mother lives, on the flying dolphin.
