Photographer's Note

I haven't been getting out much with the camera lately, but whilst visiting my parents the other day, managed to escape down the beach with the camera. As you know, it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere, so you'll understand that the water in this ocean rock pool is extremely cold. Notice the splash marks at the foot of the photo, made by yours truly in brass monkeys weather. I've uploaded quite a lot of Sydney's ocean rock pools, but never this one in the Northern Beaches suburb of Freshwater. In the far background you can see St Patrick's Cathedral, which was the film location of Jay Gatsby's house in the recent film The Great Gatsby.

If you'd like to see more of Sydney's ocean rock pools, have a look at my Theme, Australian Rock Pools.
