Photographer's Note
The 6 km long Thale Noi-Ranot elevated road which rather is a giant bridge running over the wide wetland was opened in 2007. The wide 2 lane highway still is seldom used, only few birdwatchers know about the road. So there is almost no traffic, you really can enjoy the water birds and stop at the roadside to observe them. When it almost rains, the birds trend to be very active, but due to the low light photography is very difficult.

Hello Urs
What a long, little used bridge. To be able to stop and photograph the wetland birds must be very agreeable.Something I would love to do.
I like the formation of the mountains in the background.
Kind Regards
Gladys.

Hello Urs,
Excellent how we see the both sides of the highway with concrete guardrails.
These place is absolutely not as Belgium, where more cars not move through traffic jam, Brussels number one in the world everyday a lot hours traffic jam.
You create an excellent rural picture, also perfect depth and perspective.
Excellent composition, nice presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John

Bonjour Urs,
Une impression d'immensité se dégage de cette composition très originale qui utilise la route pour donner de la profondeur et les montagnes en arrière plan pour l'éloignement.
Amicalement

Hello Urs,
This is a very surprising photo to find among your series from the wetlands of southern Thailnd. The road has given the photo superb depth and some very nice lines of blue, white and yellow, contrasting with the dark natural tones of the surroundings. I would have imagined most drivers to use this empty road for some high-speed driving instead of stopping for birdwatching.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello, Urs,
When I see this photo I want to play the "Highway Star" of Deep Purple. Good perspective, excellent presentation of the South Thai landscape. I see you have used a Rule of Thirds here. Well done!
