Photographer's Note
Kuranda Scenic Railway climbs from Cairns to Kuranda through the only tropical wet rainforest region in Australia. Just before Kuranda the train makes a stop at Barron Falls (total height 260 m). In postcards the falls look huge and roaring. But usually not much water flows past the underground hydroelectric power plant. Have a look at the falls at the workshop.

Hej Kari,
Together with the complementary picture, a very fine contribution. You must have walked a long way from the resting train to find this POV. The scene over the waterfall is also very good.

hello Kari, I know this place, I also went by this Kuranda train and stopped here for some photos (http://beta.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=7&p=1421366). I wonder, if you went back with the sky rail? it was fun too.
Nice composition in panoramic format.

Hello Kari,
the train running through the jungle would be one of my choices for an exciting journey :-) What an experience this could be!
The picture shows very well the train, its passengers and unusual surroundings. Nice job to include the tree on the left - it adds very much to the composition.
Good colors and good choice of more panoramic format.
Thanks for sharing!
Regards
Kamila

Hi Kari,
Good angle to take this railway, interesting landscape with all the vegetation around, nice light capture, well taken with all these people.

Hi Kari,
There's something surreal about this picture, the setting looks out of place...different to see a train cutting through such thick landscape. Not only that, but the people scattered along the tracks is another puzzling aspect. It all makes perfect sense though from your note and WS picture, well worth the stop! :) Big score on originality of subject material, I really like how this imagery piqued my curiosity to the situation. Well done, and smart use of a panoramic format. Enjoy the new week. Take good care.
Friendly regards,
Jason
