Photographer's Note

Here are Tuilière (on the left, 1288 metres height) and Sanadoire (on the right, 1286 metres height) rocks, seen from the Guéry pass on the D983 road in the north of Le Mont-Dore. These two rocks are at the top north of Dore mounts, one of the former volcanic area in Auvergne. They were born 2 millions years ago from cooled lava that ascended to the surface (but never reached it). The glacial erosion then revealed them a long time later.
