Photographer's Note

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy. It is located in the north-east of Italy, between three regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino Alto-Adige, between Alps and Plain of the Po. The large lake is a typical moraine valley formed by a glacier 5 to 6 million years ago.

The lake stretching from north to south has a length of 51.6 km, width of 4 - 16.7 km, average depth of 136 m, max. depth of 346 m.

It is a popular and attractive holiday destination, especially at northern end surrounded by towering mountains and cliffs. The southern lake shore is low and rolling.
My photo was taken in Limone, at the northern end of the lake.

Śliczne zdjęcie znad jeziora Garda, fajny widok tego turystycznego stateczku. Ładny widok nieco zamglonych gór. Te włoskie jeziora są naprawde fantastyczne. Zrobuiłeś sobie taką wycieczkę statkiem?

the cruise boat as passing by in front of your lens create a beautiful and unique POV in the image this cloudy and grey day over the lake.I like the clarity as the light and colour management of the scene.

The Garda Lake was one of the Italian lake I had to learn when I was at the primary school a long time ago and I can imagine that a beautiful picture, but of less quality than your picture, was an illustration in the textbook we used.

Hello Ryszard,
The lake steamer makes an interesting focal point and is well positioned in the frame. The soft light is relaxing on the eyes, as are the cool blue tones. Beautiful mountain background.
