'An alternative viewpoint' of Charlestown,a small village just 1 mile outside the Cornish town of St.Austell.
(See my previous post 'Still being useful')

An unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port.

Constructed between 1791 and 1801, Charles Rashleigh built the port in response to the growth of the local mining industry.

If you watch the drama BBC Poldark, you might see glimpses of this charming harbour, transformed for the story!
