Photographer's Note
At the 21st of June was it full moon and an unusual big one - due to special conditions - for instance was it the longest day. I got this shot after midnight at Sankt Hans eve - but quite a work had to be done with the image in order to get the mode of "orange moon" rising over the water - the lamppost was a "lucky" extra element - since a kid needed some light in order a make his boat ready for the night.
I was amazed to watch how "fast" the moon actually is rising by watching two photos taken within 26 seconds from exact the same position. Take a look at the two workshop photos.

Not a very easy photo to take, I think, but with a good result. The light on the foreground is a big plus. Nice reflection on the water and nice wide view.

Hi Jeppe,
Beautiful composition and interesting colours to catch that particular mood and atmosphere. The lamp comes in well and I love the soft image of the pier towards the end. The converging lines lead us from the lamp to the moon. Well done!! Regards.

Hi Jeppe,
Yes the full moon is a fast moover,at least you need a shutterspeed from 1/25 or shorter if you want to catch him sharp and round,-I know this by experience.
Excellent compo in which I like the lantern in the foreground to brighten up the path.
well done,
hermann

A nice capture of the atmosphere, Jeppe. Good placement of the moon and its reflection in the center, and the table in the foreground helps nicely to orient the perspective towards it. The luminosity of the lamp at the bottom left is very well rendered.

Hi Jeppe, A very design and a nice shot. I like the comparison of the moonlight and the lantern in this picture. The colors of the sky and the reflections of the moon on the water are beautiful. Well done.

Hi Jeppe,
Excellent and moody picture. I was often surprised too by the quick rising of the moon. The contrast between the lantern and the moon is just correct. The difference between the light of the lantern and the red af the moon is fascinating.

More than this one the three offering the move from the moon are splendid and it was a good idea to show.
The compositon is very artistic, well built and whith a good management of the difference from the two types of light.

Very interesting shot Jeppe.., and yes not so easy to do. But you mangaged well, I like very much the lantern and of course the contrast to the moon. And an extra bonus to have the countours of the pier there. Good job.. and a delight for all those guys going around at 5.30 am....

Nice presentation Jeppe, I had noticed last year by fixing the moon over a roof that this thing is moving pretty fast, here's another example. I like the light created by the lamppost in the forground and the small pier leading directly to the moon, nice capture.

Hi Jeppe. What a neat shot. I like the use of the lighting. The noise seems pretty low too. I also like the nighttime colors. Well done Jeppe.

Hi Jeppe
I likethe linear perpective of the pier & the lantern on the jetty. The moon could use some softening, but the colors & lighting are great. Well done!

Hi Jeppe,
What a atmosphere picture, the sun and the beam in water give excellent depth, but the lantern on the foreground are extremely beautiful!
Mij compliments for this!
Best regards,
John.

Hi Jeppe - what a surreal light, it almost looks like a smoggy tropical sunset. Beautiful colour and good placement of objects in the foreground.

Flot og stemningsfuldt. Balancemæssigt ville jeg gerne have haft månen mere til højre, men om det ville ødelægge kompositionen med lysstriben ned til broen, ved jeg ikke ;-))

Hi Jeppe,
Well, the lantern has helped render a very interesting and enjoyable night shot. This is an interesting perspective, shooting down the pier, but it works with the lantern placed where it is. Good reflections and the luminosity seems to be just the right level. Well done.
John
