Photographer's Note

I was driving along Highway 35 on my way from Portland to Bend, Oregon and I hadn't seen Mt. Hood in a while. An 11,239 foot tall volcano in the Cascade Range had pulled a disappearing act on me! I am looking at the map and I can't believe I still can see it. Finally I make this sharp turn on the highway and thus my title is born! Luckily no one was behind me when I slammed on the brakes otherwise that could have been ugly. Taken around mid-day.

The post-processing was about as minimal as it gets. Just 0.5 degree rotation and a small contrast boost of +4 after I let DxO do its thing.
