Photographer's Note
A representative of Fathers for Justice climbs onto parliament on his daughter's birthday. He has not had access to his daughter for the last 4 years.
I was this guy up there on the news, luckily I live 15 mins along the river from Parliament, so I zipped down there on my bicycle and fired off this shot.
Shot with a 90-300 Lens.

Sad that it has to get to this in some countries. I hear that family law is very unfair to men in the U.K. As for you photo, I like the detail in the whole shot. Good depth. What camera do you use?

Nie shot Dave. It has interest for the story behind it, but also you got a good light on the scene.

Just the clock was enough for me to give points for this photo, but upon viewing the larger version I was surprised to see the image was much more than that. Great story behind the image, and the man being there really helps show the size of the impressive clock.

Brave man. Many leading countries of the world have the same problem.
The shot itself - Captivating.

I really like this shot for a number of reasons. First off, the composition is great and (for me) is what really makes the photo. The guy in the foreground and the clock face in the background are almost surreal.
Secondly, I like the golden, earthy colours of the building.
Finally, I like the capture of this moment. He looks almost relaxed up there, like he is chatting to a friend on the phone! Really, really great.
