Photographer's Note
Her name is Prarthi;the one who prays.
She lives near by and many times is fascinated by the camera.
The kids were playing and I was observing.
Just then they closed their eyes and I was spell bound...........Just clicked Prarthi.
seems to be praying,
for all the little angels,
whom the Lord loves.

Hi Rajeev,
An excellent capture ... a warm and nice feeling seeing the innocent kid in prayers ... One of the best portraits I've seen so far on TE ... It may be inadvertent but the shine on the hands (due to flash) render a magical look ...

Hi Rajeev,
one of the best shots I have seen in TE.
The innocence and the purity of her prayer is well captured.
The shine on her hand and face is probably due to she being blessed immediately by GOD....!

Thanks a lot for giving us this inexplicably beautiful shot of Ms cutie pie....
Seeing this photograph, I actully felt fresh through my bones....and the peace generated by her almost gives a feeling that she has achieved "Kuthastya Chaitanya", the super consiousness.
Just look at her tiny hands folded and you will get a feeling of the communion of mind soul and the super soul..
Absolutely amazing potrait....I am obliged to you for giving me this visual treat which engulfed me with a spiritual aura..
Thanks brother..!!!

Hey Rajiv,
Stunning capture of this beautiful damsel. Awesome. Perfect choice of B&W here. Reminds me of the Hindi song "Ei maalik tere bandey hum...."

Friend.
There have been only a few times in my life that looking at a face can bring a tear. I remember one instance when I went to a local amusement park and a young girl, that seemed lost (maybe), looked alot like the pictures of my mom when she was young. The pure simple tones of the the girl coupled with the absolutely, stunningly, stupendously, fantastic lighting, make a photograph perfect in heart and soul. I know about using the word perfect, but I mean it in this instance.
Her hair is messed; so the photo looks candid. It's B&W; so the atmosphere is uncomplicated.
It's a beautiful statement by a wonderful human and artist.
Many days of sun to warm your soul,
Chris.

Hi Rajeev !
This portrait is amazing. The little girl has a beautiful face and the position of her head tilted to the right seems very emotional. I hope her prayers will be heard by Lord.
Thanks for charing.
Best regards.

Awesome portrait, Rajeev. You captured the innocense and peacefulness of this kid.
I'm glad the micro-managers at TE didn't have a problem with you posting this picture, especially since you know who she is. They removed a portrait of my boss's kid recently.

Hi Rajeev
B&W lately, I can't imagine the colors :)) maybe why it escapes me all the time but this one stands really out in your gallery by perfect light management contrast still keeping it soft to enhance this marvellous portrait of the cute praying girl, I like it a lot .

Hi Rajeev!
What a lovely shot you have here... a perfect lie. They say "a picture's worth a thousand words" but sometimes even pictures lie and this one excels at it. Show this shot to a thousand people and I believe not one would think anything else than she's just praying. It's a beautiful portrait. The only thing that bothers me is that you cropped the shot just above her head. I don't know why but that annoys me. I guess a lower position of her face would make the photo more enjoyable. At least that's what I feel. Nevertheless, great photo.

Hi Rajeev
I like the spontaneity in the look of this young girl, who was not posing for you,a good timing.
I find the flash a little bit harsh,a diffuser might have helped here.Lately, someone told me about the shadows created by the flash and to cancel them by using two flashes or dircecting the flash upwards or using a diffuser. All things difficult to do with your inflasfh camera, unless you have a hotshoe for an external flash.
Back to your picture, which I find attractive and emotionnally loaded,so much that I can feel my emotionnal cord vibate.
This photo attracted me as soon as I opened your page.
Bravo

Very touching emotions. You must have taken her when she is not aware of you taking picture. Kids at that age is hard to give the expression when told about taking pictures. Only think I'm not favouring is the flash in this. Great expressions captured.

Dear Rajeev,
VERY touching work...
an angel praying... she is beautiful. A child, closest to God. Otherworldly and elated, in another realm... her little hands pressed together with some of the nailpolish fallen off... this shot itself is a communion with God.
What real prayer is.
