Photographer's Note
This is really another experiment in post processing. This is a different angle of the same tree in Foggy Morning. I thought it's interesting how the tree only has foliage on the bottom part of the tree. I believe the plant in the lower left is a Scottish Thistle. They are all over the pastures here and in the bottom lands. There was a bright blue sky, but a lot of fog lingering around this morning, so naturally I was out there snapping away. :-)
Post processing: PSP 8.0 - fade correction, clarify, salt and pepper filter, Neat Image, then clarify again in PSP 8.0

Great shot, Stephen. I like the dark are and the way it meges with the frame. Wonderful foggy atmosphere, excellent colors. Very good PP and a smart use of the clarify too, very well done.

I love the mysterious air about the photo...mostly dull in colour but the greenery adds an interesting touch to the overall feel. The black frame adds additional mystery to the whole picture. well done in your post processing work!

Absolutely amazing shot ! The ambiance due to this fog with this skeletic tree is fabulous. The tones also increase this ambiance. It's very well composed and post-processed.

Wow, what a morning and what a picture. Once again great post process work. I can almost see the litle fairys still dancing in the first sunlight. It's magical.

Yes, the post-processing is outstanding here, but it obviously was done on top of a wonderful shot to begin with. A fine composition with that strange "half-and-half" tree on the left, and the silhouettes of the thistle and the big tree on the right. The combination of fog and light weaving its way through the scene looks wonderful. Great work, Stephen.

It has the makings of a beautiful painting Stephen. The moody atmosphere of the morning mist stands out well.Although both have their stong points, I prefer this one over your earlier shot.

The fantastic light has been captured very well and I particularly like all the shades of colors and textures.
The fog looks like a smooth pillow in which we can put our head to listen to the birds.
The contrasts are also very well managed and we can see many details in the foreground even if it is in the shadow.
Also the composition is perfect.
I like this one very much, congratulations, Stephen !

A nice shot with a dreamy atmosphere. I like it but I also think that it would be better if part of the dark would be cropped. I do a small workshop just to show you.

Great fog, I like this one more than the other, it's just the dark on the right and (a little bit) in the bottom that bothers me.. Otherwise just beautiful.

Whow! Quelle image! Les couleurs et la brume apporte beaucoup de douceur à cette photo, qui est très reposante à regarder. j'adore.

This is good work, both capturing the image, and post processing. I like all the beiges and browns. Lovely misty feel. Congratulations.

Quite a moody scene here Stephen! The way you captured the light is lovely, as it leaves the right part more in darkness and adds a certain atmosphere to the picture. I like how the colours are almost as if B&W. Very creative - congratulations!

Very effective use of PS. Makes me want to practice more. As Nicole says, the black frame works well too, though I think I'd have left out the inner one, since it gets confused with the almost black trees in the top right. But I disagree with ebban's workshop, I think the dark, though visible, foreground adds to the eerieness by taking the viewer away from the sunlit part.

Magnifique!

Bravo
