Photographer's Note
I started shooting a lot of these kinds of compositions, with three light levels: daylight, ambient and shadow. There is a kind of art to this: you meter the outer light, then open a couple of stops to bring out details in the ambient areas, adn then remember that everything else is giong to fall to black, even if you can see it in reality. It is over-dramatic, but I really enjoy these kinds of results.

Hi Matt,
I like this style, I must say. Adds a kind of timeless quality and drama to your documentary shots. Also, thanks for the note, very useful.
Best,

And so do I, Matt, enjoy these kinds of results. You bring a new level of sophistication to our community with your Pentax 67. An image with tremendous depth and "drama."
Love it...more please,
Farncis
