Taken inside one of those oh so athmospheric; ethiopian restaurant/bars. Lots of activity going on, and always some very photogenic ahmaric writing in the background.

This was taken at the town of Debarak near the Simien mountains.

Superb monochromatic treatment in this pic.
I really like this life scene, the pic place us in the 3 people life, we tell ourselves a story about them.

She arrived the chat between them stopped and their attention is now all to her.
Great daily life scene you caught here with the light coming from the side and iluminating the bar.

Your photo has a special effect. The b&w or more or less the dualtone fits perfectly here.

The scenery becomes more intensive through your decision to convert it into black and white.

hey Daniel,

cool capture. Its very atmospheric for sure, looks like an old film shot, something from the 1970s from when Africa was trying to really get itself together politcally. This could be a scene of a poliical dicussion, as we know cafes and restaurants are where revolutions are born.

Hello, Daniel--

Another interesting shot. i'm assuming that the low light pushed you to use the 1/8--it worked fairly well, with just a little bit of motion blur in the men... but i don't think that that hurts this one at all. You didn't lose much clarity or detail, and instead captured a little bit of the dynamic mood of the atmosphere, with plenty of sharpness in the chairs and tables to hold interest.

Very interesting shot in the bar. I love how you have captured the attentive expressions on the men's faces. It seems the girl is telling them somesthing very important.

wonderful B/W shot... This way I couldn't tell that this is Africa. Yes, I've noticed those writings on the background... what you say "ahmaric"? I'm not sure, but seems very similar to (... what's the right word...) hebraic letters.

Interesting capture of this rustic looking bar. The sepia treatment is interesting and delivers quite a contrasty image. The interaction is engaging and you have captured the scene at a decisive moment. Well done.

Una imagen muy cotidiana, pero el efecto blanco y negro le ha dado otra dimensión. Por algún motivo esta imagen me recuerda a una publicidad de alguna revista vintage. TFS.
