Photographer's Note

A tradition that is alive and well in the "Valley of the Gods"...the hand weaving of exquisitely coloured traditional wool shawls dyed with the most bright colours and woven together on this simple loom. This has been the mainstay of the local population along with the production of apples for hundreds of years.
The light through the weft caught my eye as I was driving by and the camera did the rest. The photo has been overprocessed as I thought it looked better as a painting :-)
