Finally,I am posting something from the Montreal TE meeeting,which was held on the same weekend then the Montreal F1 Grand prix.So,it is fitting to present a car,not a racing car ( I do not know the model and mark of this one).This car was being used for a wedding and you are seeing it in front of the Nelson's statue in the Jacques Cartier square in old montreal.
You need two ingrredient for a grand prix.The first is the cars and here's one.The other is......you will see in my next posting.

Finalement,je trouve le temps de contribuer ma première photo prise lors du TE-meet à Montréal,qui a eu lieu en même temps que le Grand prix de F1 de Montréal.
Donc il va de soi que la place d'honneur revienne à une auto,même si celle ci n'a jamais participé à une course.Aujourd'hui,elle servait pour un mariage.(En connaissez vous la marque?).Elle se trouve devant la colonne Nelson,situé sur la place Jacques Cartier dans le vieux Montréal.
Dans tout Grand prix,on retrouve deux ingrédients,les autos,en voici une.Le second c'est...........vous verrez à mon prochain envoie.

Hi Charles,

Nice composition with a pompous car in front of a pompous monument. But I have the feeling like the colours of your picture are a bit off... It's not just the cilcular polarizer. It's the shadows on the tyres, the walls in the distance and the shadows of the monument. Just too harsh.
But the compoisition you have choosen here is nice!

Hi Charles,

Wonderfull matching, the nice car parked in front of the Jacques Cartier square! Very well composed. Just find the colors look a little strange, I guess this subject woulg be nice in B&W or sepia as well. Very good to have your first picture in our TE mmeting theme. Looking for the next ones! Could not resist and tryed a WS to convert it to B&W, I hope you don't mind my intrusion...

Liked the composition of this vintage car with the amazing statue.The framing is excellent.The lights are harsh but you have managed it very well. Great shot of a great automobile. Hope you had a great TE meeting. Congrats & TFS

Une belle photo de cette voiture ancienne et de la statue de Nelson sous un beau ciel bleu, la photo a une bonne composition, netteté et de jolies couleurs. Bon weekend.

Hey Charles,

I saw you take this shot and you turned it into an awesome composition despite it being really bright and sunny at that time with a lot of foot traffic. Somehow, you managed to isolate all of that. Well done.

Salut Charles,
Je n'en connais ni la marque ni le modele mais je ferais bien un tour dedans !
J'aime bien ce cadrage serre qui donne tout son impact a l'opposition horizontal-vertical, c'est une fois les couleurs ajustees comme le propose Henk, c'est tout bon.

PS: TE meeting was a good exercise as it gave us an insight into how different our brains worked while taking these photos under same circumstances.
