Photographer's Note
This is something a little unusual for me, but today at work, I found a couple of oil puddles in the mud, and while talking to one of the workers I took this shot.
Maybe not technically good, but i find that it represent a construction site pretty well.
I have uploaded a WS in B+W, not that big a difference.
Again the Ixus 75

Hello Harry,
You have turned oil into gold in this one. The reflection framed by the muddy ground is very nice. But it's the worker's gesture that tells it all. Excellent. Regards,
Hakan

Hola Harry,
Creo que hace falta instinto para conseguir hacer de cualquier motivo una foto interesante y en este caso tengo que decir que me gusta el resultado.
Prefiero la versión en color.
Saludos.

Hello Harry,
This a very creative and well-presented photo. I like the patterns of the ground and the oil, and the reflection is sharp. It just goes to show that anything can be turned into art. :-)

Harry,
I disagree with you. The colored version has much more punch compared to the B&W and I think it was the right thing to put the colored as the main post! The feeling of partial desaturation with the reflection of the man smoking (?), the drilling tower in the background and all the cigarette stumps laying around is a great work place image!

Hi Harry,
This is one of my best shots in your gallery. Very well framed with wonderful artistic feature, showing the shadow in the oil. This reflects love toward photography even though you are at work. This shot also shows your great ability to make use of available resource to compose as a picture. It is a saying that "no matter where or what you photograph, but it does matter how you see things out of it."
Very well done.

Hello Harry,
pretty interesting industrial landscape, really original idea to shot the reflection in a oil puddle, I like also the natural frame made by the oil around the human.
Unusual and unexpected picture!

Hi Harry
I prefer the colour on this one. A good experiment. The inclusion of the construction worker, the rig and the ever present cigerette butts, is perfect. Well spotted and well executed.

David

Great image Harry, love the effect of the oil on the ground, but the reflection of the worker with the crane in the background completely makes this image. Well done.

simply breathtaking... both aesthetically and in meaning... tells a lot about the mood of a worker in a construction site and the cigarette buds strenghtens the message... and the composition is very good i think, showing the reflections instead of the real things... great job harry, congrats...
all the best

An excellent idea, producing a good graphic result and a good mood too. The industrial atmosphere (and the old bulgarian one) is there (thanks to the light and tones too) and the compo works very well.

I really like this; it is very original. I definitely prefer this to the B&W. It's something about the blue (probably reflected sky) that appeals to me. It seems to typify a working man taking a break, not that that is in my experience. Very good work

Hej Harry,
This is a really interesting idea to capture a reflection in oil. The result and effect are great with the person and the crane reflected. The textures around it look very nice too. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Hello harry. A strange and unusual picture. Only if one opened the picture sees one that it is a farbbild. Thematically as picture from the world of the work interesting. Somehow also a picture for thinking. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Harry,
Oil puddles, there is beauty in that? Okay, maybe not, but you find something interesting out of it. It's such a clever idea and keen observation on your part to discover this POV and captured it with good details and clarity. Something that is unpleasant sight yet interesting image to look at. It kind of turn you off yet still grab your attention. Good take. Thanks Harry, My complements.
