Ola Goncalo, conheco bem este sitio, ja ai estive varias vezes de ferias, especialmente a minha primeira viagem que foi no famoso Barco de cruzeiros QE2 ou Queen Elisabeth II, chegamos ao porto do Funchal pelas 6 da manha, e que vista chegando pelo mar... lindissimo, gostei tanto que subsequentemente fiz mais 3 viagens propositadas para passar ferias dado que na primeira trabalhava no barco e apesar de ter ido a terra nao tinha o tempo suficiente para explorar a ilha, bela composicao e espectacular como conseguiste capturar as luzes dos automoveis sem queimar a foto, gostei dos contrastes das lluminacoes dos predios e da fonte na rotunda perfeitamente expostas, parabens e ate mais.

Hi Goncalo,
Beautiful slow exposure nighttime capture of this fountain and the lovely swril of light that circles around the wonderful plaza. The yellow glow to the buildings compliment the dark blue sky and the impressive full moon.

Ontem a noite qunado vi essa imgagem, me deu vontade de tirar umas fotos como essa, fui na praça da Liberdade aqui em BH mas as fontes estavam desligadas, uma pena... mas rendeu outras boas fotos. Essa ficou excelente, gosto do movimento da água e dos automóveis!

Very nice night shot! Beautiful place, especially fountain looks very attractive. Good sharpness and very well choosen white balance. You had hard light but all colors looks very natural and impressive.

I prefer the original shot, it's more natural.
Very interesting subject and the long exposure is well done with a good light management..
If you don't mind I suggest an exposure little bit shorter.
When I take night shots i make several tests.

A marvelous night scene over the fontana and praca.
30 sec.exp. gave the water lightened a beautiful texture, contrast well with the surrounding golden illuminated houses.
