Photographer's Note

The dam of Santa Chiara (Ula Tirso) in a panoramic view.

Detail of a nearly submerged dam was already posted by Baddori and the description I refer you to his comprehensive note.
Just to add precision (slip of Baddori) that the new dam "Eleonora" was built downstream of what you see in the picture and this new barrier meant that the artificial lake upstream Omodeo sommergesse almost the entire dam S. Chiara.
The work of the new dam began in 1980 and gradually filling dell'invaso started in 1999, filling it will have completed a capacity of 850 million cubic meters of water.
As for the old dam of Santa Chiara you can see in the post today I add that it is a pity that the work of many people has been frustrated and a ingeristaica of that value (18 spurs with wheelbase of 15 meters each and a 'height of 55 meters) over time will be lost.
I invite you to watch where WS in a photo taken in 1999 analog is visible in its entirety across the dam, there is also the plaque which commemorates the inauguration of Vittorio Emanuele III on April 28 1924 and the spurs of the dam photographed in upstream .
