- I have just discovered TREKEARTH. I am delighted with its objectives and the wonderful people and photography it features. This is a group and website I can identify with.
As I am Portuguese, though living in the United States, it was a very pleasant surprise to find so many excellent photographs posted by so many young Portuguese photographers. My career in education gives me a soft spot for the new generations.
I am not a seasoned photographer as many of you, but I like to capture the beauty of a moment, the atmosphere and memory of a place, or a frame with an image of historical significance. I usually give some thought to composition but a simple KODAK 10 megapixels digital camera is sufficient for me.
I am looking forward to many happy moments of learning about the world through your photographs and of sharing my outlook on the world through the lens of my eye and of my camera.
