Intro: Hello,

What a treat this website is! For me, it started with a plan I had to try to get out of a utterly selfish pity party I was throwing for myself -- oh, poor, poor me. So I decided to pray for the people of different countries, because having traveled some I have a small idea of how much struggle and suffering there is in this world, more than enough to make me quite ashamed of my self-pity. My husband found a site for this purpose -- but it had no pictures -- which is no good at all for praying.

So I got somehow to this site which was superb for this purpose -- photos from every country, concerning many different people groups and parts of society, starting with Mongolia.

Gradually -- and I've now gotten to Pakistan -- I was drawn more and more to the delight of seeing different people's "eyes" for the world.

Then I wanted to put some of my own photos up so last week Sept 2006 I joined the site.

And now I have found that critiquing and commenting on others' work is a special joy all of its own.
