Kartik Naach is an annual ritual dance drama staged in the open air held at Patan Durbar Square. It is a unique dance performed every year during the month of Kartik (Oct/Nov). It is more than 370 years old and is celebrated a week long where the final two days are main and are more interesting and full of excitement. All dances are free and open to the public. Before, it used to be a month long dance. Due to budget and other reasons, now it only 8 days.
