In Western part of West Bengal, Purulia is a district with Purulia town being District headquarters. Matha Buru or Matha Pahar is a continuation of Ayodhya Hills and a forest range in this district which is a home for Basic and Advanced Rock climbing training during winter. Throughout the year some odd persons use to visit the place for Rock Climbing practice. Some like me loves to go there during spring when Kusum tree is red with new leaves, Palash trees are red with flowers and the Khayer tree is leafless and calling the wilderness. ... Sonarpur AROHI Summer Trek 2005 by Kausik Das (1840) 2005-05-17 - 2005-05-22

Like every year Sonarpur AROHI organised a five day camp/trek programme during 17th and 22nd May, 2005. The trek route was Kurseong Dawhill-[Deorali-Baghgouda-Upper Mamring -Upper Labda]-Mongpoo-[Shahid Chauk/Chowrasta]-Rambi. Total lenth was about 38 kms covered in 2 days. (9 photos)

Here I will describe my experiences during a Coastal Trek between Chandipur and Digha. All along the coast lines of Bay of Bengal.

We were a six member team age ranging from 7yrs to 38yrs. The total length covered was 52kms in three days.
