Photographer's Note
In Japan, and in any gardens of temples, Chohzu can be found. In Japanese term the word Choh= hands, Zu=water. Thus the meaning of the word Chohzu translate roughly to hand-water. It is a small fountain in the western term. This Chohzu was found in a temple garden of Nakain this summer. The water is normally used to clean and to purify one’s hands or even one’s face. In the middle of summer a scene of the Chohzu and sound of water trickling down is very soothing and agreeable to our senses.
I would like to dedicate this image to Manuel who is very generous and kind to everyone and today he was very kind to make a tribute to me. I am very grateful. Please go and visit his wonderful gallery at following address.

Nobu,
This is an extraordinarily peaceful picture.
I would like to rinse my hands here and listen
to the sound of the water without disturbing
the red leave as it floats timelessly.
The clarity, colors and light are perfection.
The Chohzu looks to have been made by Mother
Nature. All is harmonious.
Many thanks.
Yana
P.S. A very fine dedication to ManuMay.

Your enlighting note taught me something new, Nobu.
Green dominating, and wonderful garden in sight. Details of the bamboo-pipe are superb.
Lovely,

Salut mon cher Nobu
You have been very popular this week with all these dedications :) And you have also been very busy with your extremely kind and heartfelt dedications to others. I am sure that Manu will appreciate this exquisite photo of the Chohzu. Your Note is fascinating and I like very much the way you have photographed it. Would this fountain be very old? I love the colours and the fallen leaves in the centre of the fountain add to the cool, calm atmosphere that you have created. What a wonderful place to sit and meditate - maybe with a good coffee and a book.

What a beautiful place. I love the weathered stone and the red and green together. I wonder does the water contain something to make it red since the inside of the bamboo pipe seems to be red?
This is much much nicer than a water fountain and seems to just grow out of the earth. One can almost feel the coolness - thanks, Nobu, for a slice of Japan, and for the dedication to Manuel! :-)

Hi Nobu,
clever the bamboo hand-water faucet with the water to run so gently in the round stone. The light is superb with the vivid colours to make the scene so beautiful.

Hello dear Nobu-san
Its not often do we see a post from your country...only 2 so far! So I find it a bit refreshing :-)
The pipe & the 'tap' is made of bamboo, one of the critical elements of Japanese life I would believe . Works well with the slight diagonal. But what appeals to me is the sense of peace & tranquility which leads up to reverence
With Best Regards Nobu-san & wish you a fine weekend

Dear Nobu!
I humbly thank you for this beautiful dedication ... this image that conveys peace and harmony, the sound relaxes and whose colors invite you to stare ... no hurry...
An image filled with symbolism and metaphors, all beyond the image you see ... and I really like ... Thanks!
I wish you a very happy day ...

Hello Nobu,
A lovely shot. Like the tap made out of bamboo which is new to me. You have captured it very well with superb colors and sharpness. I like the tint of red . Your note is also very informative. Have a wonderful new year.
